I slept pretty well last night, why I do not know as I slept much during the day. It must be the pain medication along with the patch. The good news is, it really controls the pain, the bad news is I'm a Zombie. However, we in literary circles know that zombies are very much in so I'm on the crest of the curve. I had my 8:00 Radiation appointment and once again had to use the numbing spray in order to put in the stent. I return at 1:00 for the Weekly See and then go to the Mayes Clinic for my IV treatment. I'm sure I'll have more later but now it's time for my nap.
I left for MDA at 12:20 little realizing that this was the best I was going to feel all day. We arrived at 12:50 for the Weekly See. Dr. Beadle, whom I love was wonderful and empathetic, but her nurses read me the riot act. I lost 8 pounds, was dehydrated and they spoke of dire things occuring if I didn't mend my ways I may have another meeting with Miss Lovelace and more swallowing exercises. I shall try to improve. I promise. From there we picked up the car and drove the two blocks to the Mayes Clinic and my water infusion. I was told it would take five hours so I settled into my bed and let the water flow. I even tried to eat some soup, I believe it was lentil and would have been good except for the lentils. I next had a spoon of bluberry yogurt which had no taste and the same was true of the peach nectar. At 7:20 I had the proper number of fluid ounces and was allowed to leave. It was good getting outside where I finally warmed up.
I now have my full range of medicines and will start taking them this evening. The patch seems to be working and I may cut back on my Lortab but will commence with the constipation and nausea medicine of which I desperatetly need. I am very tired and think I will go to bed early as tomorrow will be another fun day where after Radiation I meet with the anesthesiologist and get to have another five hours and another bag of water. I'm not complaining as I know all this is working and that's what I want.
